Lawrence Goodwyn

Lawrence Goodwyn is a USPTA level 1 professional who has worked with the city of Murfreesboro and the MTA for the last 10 years running the junior camps and clinics for all ages.  Lawrence is also a former college player at Abilene Christian University in Texas and is currently coaching the tennis teams at Middle Tennessee Christian School.


Sam Wagner
Samantha Wagner has played tennis since the tender age of five. Sam first got started in playing competitive tennis at age ten, achieving high junior rankings in all age groups in the state of Florida. Additionally she was ranked nationally from age 11-18. After her junior career she was offered a full scholarship to the University of Tennessee Knoxville where she played singles and doubles all four years. Samantha’s coaching career started at the age of 18, when she became a co-instructor with her dad at his summer tennis camp. During the camps she implemented drills, team tennis, and mock tennis matches. Samantha is no stranger to Murfreesboro and has been offering clinics on behalf of the MTA for the past three years involving children aged 4-18. Samantha loves the sport of tennis and really enjoys working with tennis players of all levels and ages to make them better understand the sport and maximize their potential. Samantha is a member of the USPTA.  


Phillip Treen  

 Originally from Somerset, England, Philip brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program. Philip won the "Milbourn Cup" U/15 national title at Wimbledon, the World Father & Son team title in Spain for Great Britain, a National Collegiate doubles title and team championship for Seminole College and was a two time All-American. In Tennessee, Philip won the state singles title and was Manager and Tennis Director of Nashboro Village from 1992 to 2009. A member of the GB Professional Coaches Association, Philip has taught all levels up to Southern and National champions. He earned Nashboro Village, Facility and Organization of the year awards. Philip's favorite tennis memories are playing an exhibition match with Rod Laver at the Royal Albert Hall in London before the world doubles final and partnering former doubles world. #1 Ken Flach for one season at Nashboro Village.
